The Founder
Oh My Goodness! was founded by Ramya Ragupathi in her ex-boss and friend’s kitchen in
Singapore in December 2015 as a passion project. Today, Oh My Goodness! is an ISO22000 and Halal-certified 100% gluten-free food manufacturing company, an exporter, a social enterprise and quite simply, a dedicated provider of Goodness.
Ramya started baking when she was 16 and went on to love cooking and mixing cocktails – this was her ‘thing’ and the kitchen was her ‘place’. Turning 30 sparked off a personal journey towards health and wellness in a bid to eliminate her chronic health issues once and for all. Her success led to a keen interest in food science, driven by a profound appreciation of the notions that food is medicine and “you are what you eat.”
Two years later, Ramya learnt that she could no longer consume wheat or dairy as she started experiencing symptoms associated with food sensitivities. Fast forward another two years and Oh My Goodness! was born. Indeed, Oh My Goodness! is the culmination of Ramya’s own health and wellness journey resulting in an intrinsic understanding of her customers and their needs and in turn, a delectable range of products.
Today, she is hell-bent on bucking all past trends and bad raps and giving free-from food the good reputation it deserves – all while educating the world on what’s going into their bodies, practising inclusive hiring and pushing forth in her mission #towardszerowaste.
Our Social Mission
-
BETTER OPPORTUNITIES
In line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, we have so far engaged and trained 5 members of disadvantaged communities for roles in production and retail through our partnerships with ISCOS, MINDS, Daughters of Tomorrow and Hide & Seek.
Flexible hiring contracts reflect our employees' unique challenges, needs and goals. All staff attend at least 2 paid training programmes a year and we incentivise longevity with bonuses and equity.
Ours is not a hiring policy without risk, b ut success stories make it worthwhile.
-
BETTER HEALTH
In line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, we've made impressive strides in creating healthier food options without compromising taste or quality. Our innovative product range has grown from two in 2017 to 10 in 2019. We invest heavily in R&D and work closely with both academia and established brands in the industry. Our breads, cakes and pizza bases are reasonably priced, have amazing flavour and mouthfeel as well as contains better sweeteners, up to 50% less sugar than their equivalents or no sugar at all.
And we are scaling up to bring more goopdness to more people in Singapore and the region

BETTER FUTURE
In line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 12: Sustainable Consumption and Production, we have trackable sustainability targets and have maintained our #zerofoodwaste goal since day one. Almost all unused ingredients are repurposed in new products or distributed to staff to prevent waste.
And we are scaling up to allow us to bulk purchase and further reduce packaging waste.
